CURRICULUM
Woodlands offers a broad, challenging curriculum which is flexible to meet the needs of schools and their pupils. From the outset, organising teachers are involved alongside our staff, in setting course aims, assisting with programme design and content and assessing effectiveness of courses. Each course contributes directly to the raising of pupil achievement through personal development and supports the values and aims of the National Curriculum. A programme of challenging activities and a repeating cycle of goal setting, action and evaluation are used to develop responsibility, self esteem, co-operation, trust and independence. Personal and group profiles are used to record individual and group progress.
Our general courses contribute to the development of Key Skills, PSHE, Citizenship, SMSC and Health and Safety for Key Stages 2,3,4 and sixth form, in addition we can help to deliver specific curricular or other aims you may have (e.g. PE, GCSE/A Level, D of E year group induction).
Full details will automatically be sent to you on confirmation of your booking.
Our commitment to you :
At Woodlands we concentrate on the personal and social development of every individual by providing high quality residential outdoor courses that are challenging, educational and emphasise the values of living and working together.
